Called numerous times, very pushy, quite rude when I tried to get them off the phone

I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number

I received a 'phone call from 02034326587. A gentleman with an Indian accent, who knew my first name, tried to sell me something about cryptocurrencies, whether it was a course or an investment opportunity I don't know as I replied that it wasn't anything I was interested in. Despite that, he was quite persistant, until I asked him where he had got my name and number, at which point the line went dead.

same as others, records shoe i had a non-fault accident in my car in last 3 years, which i hadnt so said they wuld remove me form their records. i said they better just do that so will see if any more calls come through.

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. Number calls repeatedly. When calling back to complain you get a recorded message saying you can opt out by pressing 9 on your keypad but they still try and ring you!

No idea who these people are, they called me on my mobile and asked for a man I ve never heard of.. I cut them off immediately afterwards because I didn t want to be charged in case it was an expensive number.

If I don t recognise the number, I don t answer, simple as that.
