Returned a call to this number and operator said it is not recognised I therefore take it to be a scam call. I am being plagued with loft insulation calls at the moment so could be one of these don’t answer it .

Automated call, annoying, rings out then cuts off when answered. Feel sorry for old folks struggling to get up to go and answer their phone only for this to happen to them, time after time. Waste of time.
SCAM offered loan but sounded too good to be true then at the end of the phone call he said you've to pay the insurance first which is the first installment then your next payment will be 2 months away. Anonymous

Call from a SCAM gardening & landscaping firm (Tree & Landscaping Services) who send round a team (family members) who will not go away until paid large sums of money. My mother paid them over £600 for about an hour with a chainsaw cutting down healthy trees. They demanded payment in cash & took her to a bank to collect that. I reoprted the offenders to Greater Manchester police who refused to take action.

This person left a message to say my "shipment" could not be delivered and I must contact the post office. As I have been at home all day and I have not ordered anything I am reluctant to contact these people. Nobody came to my door as I have CCTV and nobody has called here today. I got a call from this number today, 06/03/2023, from someone claiming to be from Vodafone, I was offered a 20% discount for the last 12 months of my contract. When they asked for my name and address I ended the call. They had a strong Indian accent. I contacted Vodafone who confirmed is was a fraud.
This is the fourth time this week calls from 01223 reputed to be Cambridge? saying my bank account has been attacked etc when pressed 2 to talk to the operator a female Asian voice answered....I asked are you in Nagapur India, the line went dead? It's obvious they have a way to get into our phone system. Another one they use is Liverpool 01514.

Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

Very rude. Very bad. Wouldn’t tell me who was calling. Just wanted me to confirm my name with a yes or no. When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. Don’t ever say yes or no on the phone - they record it and use it as approval for trying to get into accounts etc.
