SCAM call received from this number at 1130 on Mon 19/10/2020 stating “THIS IS A CALL FROM BRITISH TELECOM. YOUR LANDLINE AND INTERNET ARE ABOUT TO BE DISCONNECTED. PLEASE PRESS ONE”. I suspect that this is one of those calls which when you press “1” you will automatically be charged for a premium call. If you receive a call from this number, do NOT press 1 and block the number from your system.

Rang me on my mobile number but when I answered they put the phone down. We have been called twice by this number. It is a digitally-generated message, not a human, stating that it is from HMRC and that an arrest warrant has been generated. The call was closed by our answering machine before it could be completed. There was the start of a list of options. My 10 year old answered the phone and was extremely worried that the police were going to be on our doorstep. I'm sure that it's a scam...at least I hope so.
