A SCAM - be very careful as the person on the phone will try to get you to download a programme called "anydesk.com" which gives remote access to your computer. In my case the person said he was from SKY and was checking on my report on bad internet signal (that part was true). He took me through a few dialogue boxes (thankfully I knew that I was not changing settings). He then tried to get me to download the programme. Thankfully I questioned it. He hung up. Picked up the phone and said "hello". A male voice said "goodbye" and rang off!
Said he/she was from an ?energy supplier? in the local area and an installation in our attic had been ?condemned? by the slum something-or-other. Can't recall exact words. I hung up pretty quickly as it was utter nonsense.
They called claiming to be Microsoft who had detected problems on my computer. I asked them for the 6 digit problem code which the operator didn't understand so I asked her to read out the error message. When she refused I decided it was a scam and hung up.

This was a call on my mobile purporting to be a voice message from my doctor and to follow the link. This was recorded at 0012 hrs. No doctor would call at this time and it looks like the call comes from Manchester. I'm in Birmingham. Obviously I did not follow the link and deleted the message.

This company reported to be Heating Services, claims to act on behalf of British Gas Homecare and deals with all their support services. They rang to say they are reducing the cost of my homecare cover and including plumbing and electricity repairs. All I need to do is amend my Direct Debit. This is a company scamming customers as they had all me details.

Asked for a "Mr. Raymond"; when informed he had the wrong number, he requested my name to add to their caller registry. I declined, and he tried to tell me something about investing. I ended the call early by saying I had stuff to do. Overall the guy on the other end was very respectful and polite, and had a very mild Indian accent, so I think he might've been legit. Of note, however, is that my number is a Canadian number.
