Missed a call to my mobile from this unknown local Nottingham number. Suspicious as I haven't given my number to any but a handful of friends, and my doctor/dentist/pharmacy. No message left. Another caller-trace service says this number was first detected 11 days ago, but there were no reports about it. When I checked 10 minutes ago, *this* service said there had been 16 searches in the last 10 days. Now when I've returned 20 minutes later it says there have been 20 searches. Received 4 calls on my cell in Benelux within 2 minutes; this is part of a practise that started on 13/2: since then I received about 60 odd calls from similar +44 numbers. The first one or 2 I picked up and people claim I registered with credit card for online consultancy, related to financial investments. After that I categorically block all these calls. I can produce a list of these numbers

Called me to say there was a job available and put me through to another number who was going to give me details of the role. I was then contacted by a Carlo by WA with a pic of a woman The role was too good to be true, 30 mins a day, remote working for an unbelievable sum of money I told them I needed to think about it and they should give me more time to think about until next week. Well, the Carlo guy kept texting me randomly - first asking how I was the next day, then sending me pics of aNY ‘library’

I was told that they were a promotional team working on behalf of BT. They offered me a discount on my BT bill of 45%! Wanted to know how I paid my bill. I told them that as BT had supplied them with my name, address and telephone number they should have supplied them with this information also. There was a long pause, then the line went dead. Incidentally the young lady caller pronounced the letter Z (the last letter of my postcode) as 'zee' - an Americanism.

Overseas noisy background call centre female claiming to be from ‘the technical department’ not a specific company just technical department. Red flags were didn’t know my name or address. I challenged her told her she was talking rubbish about being a technical department. I used a few choice profanities to which she called me a few! I asked her if those were technical terms and she hung up! Obvious scamming call. The call was at 08:45 on a Saturday.

Another damn nuisance call. Some recorded woman's voice trying to convince me there are two fraudulent transactions on my bank account, press number one to get details etc. As it happened, I'd just been checking my bank account online, but I wouldn't have believed her anyway, as that's not the way my bank would contact me. This pathetic scam originated from a number in Knighton, a small town in Powys about ten miles from my house. Whoever you are, try and get a life!
Cold call claiming to be about my Life insurance from "MEH", they had my name but no details as to who my provider(s) were. Talking about issue of not being covered due to non-disclosure for older policies. Claimed not to be sales, but during the call I did hear in the background applause and cheers (which indicates someone did make a sale in the same room). I suspect it is a scam designed either to sell you a product or get information about your existing products
