These people keep calling my mobile number and asking for the complete wrong person! I have told them on numerous occassions that they have the wrong number and to remove my contact information but it obviously goes in one ear and out the other! I have blocked this number from my phone number but I would like to officially report the problem so if anyone knows how to do this please share. Thanks

Received a call from this number today, and also had a missed call for the last 3 days. Once connected it has a few seconds of silence, a nice clear sign its unsolicited but I thought I d wait and see who they were. SCAM I had a phone call from 020 8298 3548 at 3:01pm this afternoon on Thursday 25th February 2021. It was an automated message saying that I had an outstanding balance and an arrest warrant was issued for my arrest and I should press 1 to speak to a representative about it. This is an absolute scam, do NOT call or press 1.

Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.
Had a call saying they are a University Survey company that reviews student uni experience, knew my full name and uni that I attended, went on for about 15 minutes asking to rate my experience out of 10 etc. Not sure if legit or scam, but even then dont know what they would do with the info I provided
SCAM - called claiming to be from BT and going to cut off phone and internet due to suspicious activity.

Received a text claiming to be from online retailer VERY regarding new stock of Xbox Series X for pre-order asking me to reply YES before 2200GMT 10/11/2020 if i'm interested in re-ordering from them. Contacted VERY customer services and queried the number to which they stated that it is legitimate and if replied YES to, I will receive a phone call to organise re-ordering or the console. Unsure how legitimate this is though.

Well I thought it was someone trying to get sexual with me until I put the number in here and seen,realised these ejits had text me twice of different numbers!!! A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.
