It is obvious that the firm making these calls is also manipulating this forum. Both are equally shite. In my case they have a pretend-itslocal pseudo number. Jail for you soon. Not soon enough.

I am getting a lot of calls from this number and I try to turn the tables on them by asking questions rather than supply answers.

Recorded message the visa account had paid out £300 to check press button etc. Checked with visa provider it is a SCAM !!!

Like all the other comments, this was a recorded message claiming to be from Inland Revenue (I should have smelled a rat immediately at that point - it s HMRC now...) and that I was being sued. Brain not in gear, and in panic, dialled 1, but silence at the other end, then call terminated. I am now so angry. This is PwC (Price Waterhouse Cooper) conducting a survey. Pretty harmless but annoying at the same time. Just say you arent interested and get them to delete your number. Also, ask where they got your number and give them a good drilling as to where as they feed you some lies...
