This was a pre-recorded message telling me my National Insurance number had been used in some criminal activities. Massive scam.
This no, phones me every day, god only knows what their trying to achieve, but I gave him maximum abuse, told him, he,s been registered as a scammer, told him he,s in Manchester, and he was just as cocky as fuck, he even said we are both in the same boat, and I replied, but he,s trying to sell something, and getting knowhere. Has called twice, first time no answer, second time answered to a woman with a Birmingham accent. Despite being on the TPS they still called. Using a mobile number they obviously use people working from home to cold call. Have now blocked.

This number called me several times, but the call went silent. I called the number back (located in Shetlands) and I was put in to a queue which kept saying "Your call is important to us, please hold for the next available agent". After waiting for almost 4 minutes I hung up. This is probably another scam caller who has been banned from every other UK city so now they ve been forced to set up shop in the Shetlands. I ve now blocked the number.

SCAM / SPAM Long pause at the start to begin the recording, then very dodgy sounding HMRC call, you have a fraud case open in your name, press 1 to connect to advisor, not pressing 1 will trigger an arrest warrant! Note to the spammers, at least make it sound real when you play the message!

This number rang my mobile and I usually dont pick up unrecognised numbers but my partner is in hospital therefore I did but didn't speak, line stayed quiet from other end for about 10/15s then hung up!

01782388500 is a landline and located in Stoke-on-Trent (UK). Calls started on 2 March 2023. This phone block 1782388 is operated by BT.
Had a call from this number today (06/02/2020). I didn t answer, but just sharing what I discovered when attempting to identify the caller. Several directories show this as a number related to a recruitment company named Catch Recruitment. Hope this helps :)

Called my aging father and said they were calling about an existing insurance policy for kitchen appliances.. one that we had and it needed renewed. He holds another policy with a well known company and it wasn't them. They were insistent that he had to renew it and he eventually hung up on them.

Pushy mobile phone sales call and would not go away even after I made it clear that I wasn t interested in up-grading or changing contracts. In the end I had to just hang up. These calls are always a worry as they may phone my mum or elderly neighbours.
