Definitely a scam. They must use a system that generates a local number as I’m getting them calling at me multiple times a day. Already had 2 today and it’s not even 3pm yet. It’s a computer generated voice or a recorded voice trying to tell me that my bank account has been accessed or similar. I basically hang up as soon as I hear it’s them now. Just annoying

Fraud called telling me that somebody in the USA has just spent £600 on my debit card and to stop payment they needed my sort number for my account when I said I will contact my bank myself they hung up.

SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. SCAM claiming to be Amazon customer service and I apparently have an unexpected charge. The guys name is Peter he doesn't realise that his name is mentioned when leaving the voicemail of the automated message.
Was called up by a scam callcenter that told me that there was a problem with a payout from my life insurance, They had my name and phone number, but everything else was very clearly not legit so not the most professional scam I've seen.
