The guy has a strange accent and said at first he was calling about HMRC and then said he was calling about my bank security! Hope they catch these mugs and birdy them off soon....

Called today and ulikely to originate from the UK based on the poor line. The person kept using my first name (i.e., Mr A***). She told me she was calling about an accident I d had for which I wasn t at fault. I asked her if that was in the BMW and she said "Yes I think so"...I don t drive a BMW and have never owned one! Caller claimed to be from Severn Trent Water telling me that I haven t paid my bill in the last six months - checked the bill and found out that this company charges on a 8 month Direct Debit format. Interesting scam - have informed the company about the call!

An automated message - has called me numerous times over the past week. I ve tried pressing 9 to opt out. Makes no difference at all, so this time spoke to someone by pressing 5 . Apparently they will remove my number -takes up to 48 hours. Definately the most persist nuisance call I ve ever had.

It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Very busy call centre with lots of other people in the background so difficult to hear everything.

Once connected it has a few seconds of silence, a nice clear sign its unsolicited but I thought I d wait and see who they were.
