Said was from TPS. Sounded like calling from India but said he was in Maidenhead (couldn t pronounce it...). Sounded dodgy, asking me if I was "still receiving nuisance calls and that he could block them" - and he eventually gave up the call.
Saying they are from GURUAID wanting to get into my pc because of pop-ups which they want to rectify but they had wrong info, telephoned at 18.05 (usual cold call times) using the giveaway how are you today sir .

I had a call from this number the well spoken call handler had my name, email address, home address and membership number. Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.

I don't know who this was calling. After answering there was a recorded message which said 'Goodbye'.

Reported to be a genuine Barclays (or Barclaycard) number but also reported to have been spoofed by scammers. Treat with caution.
