I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. I phoned the number and gave up after 57 minute being on hold. Pre recorded Scam call relating to unexpected withdrawals from a bank account. No name or bank mentioned. Asked for me to press 1 to confirm. That's a giveaway (red flag) as is the lack of personal details. I put the phone down immediately.
Another different number from Benefits UK,very annoying calls as we get several a week.
A fellow prisoner is probably calling a friend or family member.
Indian female voice saying there is a fault on my BT internet line and she would help me fix it! (I am not with BT) I just hung up.
Received a call this morning from this number, supposedly from HMRC. I realised it was a scam immediately and dropped. It would be unusual for HMRC to place automated “robotic” calls.
