SCAM - Number rang me with an automated male computer voice as you would hear in GoAnimate, claiming to be from HMRC about tax fraud, etc. Don't fall for this scam and block the number straight away.

I ve been called 5 times today from this number. The caller is difficult to understand in a heavy Asian/Indian accent. Fraud Had text claiming to be be from Starling Bank - text came through on same message thread as previous verification code so I thought it was genuine. Text advised suspicious activity in my account for which they would be contacting by phone (which they did the next day) They already had lots of my identifying info and put me through other checks. They’d cleared thousands out of my account by the time I’d called Starling bank a few hours later.
Automated message claiming to be from Amazon that I've been charged £95 for subscription and to press 1 or 2. Received another a few days ago from number 01354 672840. Both numbers Chatteris/March or surrounding areas.
On answering all I heard was some music there was no reply to my asking who was calling. Annoying and possibly dangerous scam call

This is a scam where they pretend to be BT and will give you te above number to call with an id code to verify their authenticity. They tell you they want to shut down your Broadband for 5 days due to errors - blah blah. Probably after they will try to get access to your pc in some way. Don t know cos I crashed out and phoned BT who said it was a scam.
