Thankfully I had misread the number and wondered if it was another scam call so I waited for the other to speak first. There was no response and the call was ended. After checking online (on other sites), I have now blocked this number.
The same Indian man keeps ringing me, when I challenge him he puts the phone down. Tried ringing the number back but it doesn't ring.

Fake BT scammers, asking to log on to your computer and change settings or your internet switched off!
This number sent me a scam text message telling me to click a link to a fake HSBC address.
Claimed to be from the HMRC and a warrant is out for my arrest blah blah blah
Female caller with asian accent claiming to be from BT. She said they were going to disconnect my internet as they have been receiving messages showing it is infected with malware via facebook. I pointed out I don t have facebook and have anti-virus software. She eventually hung up.
Claimed to be from Orange / EE and even though it wasn t a "marketing" call, as they put it, is was exactly that .. Hung up before they got the chase ..
Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. Fraud - I was called off one number trying to get a security code that would reset my O2 account. when I refused to give the one time code to the lady she got aggressive. I said I would check with O2 customer service and if everything was ok would take up the offer. I was given this number as O2 customer services - IT IS NOT. I reported to O2 (202) and they confirmed that this was Fraud, and if I gave them the code they would have had access to my O2 account.
