SCAM: Caller explained someone in Reading had created a fake Amazon account my name, & wanting to buy an iphone 12 which would cost me £700. They didn't think I had ordered it and so wanted to know if I was accepting the order or not. I said I was not giving anything out over the phone wother than I hadn't ordered the phone. He started giving instruction for me to access my laptop. He swore at me when I said I wasn't going to help and he hung up

Sales call / this is a call from SD of Verkada Limited - a tech company selling security cameras etc. It will likely be related to an email whereby it is suggested he will be "in your area" next week. Of course he doesn't know where you are and in the absence of matter-transportation will not be there. It's an unsolicited sales call and not very clever. Best avoid firms like this where they start with a lie.

I missed a no caller ID call from Dundee city council, the person gave me this number to call back on. I'm immediately greeted by an American automated voice giving me options to which I decide to hold for assistance cuz none of them mean anything to me. Received a woman’s voice message from Careline leaving a message for me by my first name. Stating I should phone back about my brother mentioned by his first name. Phoned back several times., but got no reply. However, it turned out that my family member had been taken to hospital. He was on an emergency system at his home as he lives alone. Has to make own enquiries to verify message was not a scam.
