This is the UK version of a scam running amok in the US. The supposed company, microsoftechs.com, contacts people and claims there is an issue with their computer. The claim to be partnered with Microsoft and gain confidence with all the classic scam talk. Fraud, said they were Virgin security. Went along with him for 3 mins, pressing buttons on my landline when he was telling me to go to AppStore. Then he asked about my phone line I said it was BT. He then said he was from BT. I didn’t point out at the start of the call he’d said he was from Virgin. He asked who provided my Internet connection, I said that I used to have the Internet but it broke about a year ago and as I didn’t use it I didn’t get it fixed. He hung up. Total call time, 5 minutes
