Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?

Calls from this number are not a scam and your details will have been passed over by the Job Centre Work Coach to the Adviser. Fraud. Automated call pertaining to be from Amazon stating that £300 will be taken from your account for a phone your have purchased. However, if you haven't then hit button 1. If you do you'll either be put through on a premium rate number to one of their criminals who will want your bank details of credit card number in order for them to "cancel the order" but will really use this to steal even more cash from you. They are also using other 01475 numbers.
Weird call - phone "answered itself" when no-one was near it. I heard voices and went to investigate - found my phone playing a recorded message. A bit unsettling really. Anyone else had this experience?

Foreign sounding female voice - not very audible- she was trying to explain about an order from Amazon I had paid for but something about the payment had not gone through etc etc. Not sure of the rest but she asked for payment - I have Not ordered from Amazon - she did not know my name so I raised my voice and told her that all this was a SCAM and put the phone down .

A foreign gentleman called from this number 01223 691019, claiming to be from Virgin Media. He wanted access to my modem via my smartphone or computer to make updates. When I said that I had neither he started to get a little agitated. Also kept hinting towards a bad phone connection. This was a call to my landline. I don't know if this is a scam or not, but is very likely as Virgin probably wouldn't access your home internet via a 3rd party mobile phone company.

Obviously cold calling as person they were asking for doesn't live here, she refused to tell me where she was calling from and terminated the call. Rang the number back and she obviously realised it was me so remained silent.
