A very suspect call. Phone rang and after a few seconds of silence the call terminated. I would never try to phone back in case of the call-back scam which can put you through to a premium number which makes massive charges. This kind of call, even if a genuine cold call, can be very worrying to some people and I abhorr the method.

SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. This was a call from refund on a BitCoin account I had 5 years ago, that I never traded with and closed down within weeks of opening. The chap couldn't give me any background or was willing to listen to what I had to say. I made it evident that I wasn't comfortable about going on my computer to access an account and he got rather aggressive in his tone. I said I wasn't happy with his tone and he turned it on me. In the end he was very rude and put the phone down on me.

This number called me claiming someone had used a visa card in my name for a £900.00 purchase. They then asked for bank details, passwords etc, I don't have a visa card, this is most definitely an attempt to access my bank account in a criminal way for criminal purposes.
