A lady with a very strong (Chinese?) accent asked me to take part in a poll stressing that the calls will be recorded. She had my correct address details and was asking questions such as "do you have any following type of loans" or any "following type of investments" or if I was interested in taking on a life insurance or a funeral insurance plan and some general question of demographics. A woman with a foreign accent knew my name. She identified she was calling from ‘Advantage’. I told her I was working and she said she would be really quick but had a few questions about households. I repeated that I was working and hung up. Advantage deal with Pets. We don’t have any pets, nor have we ever had any pets, so whoever passed them my details did not do their research.

SCAM saying HMRC have a tax fraud case against you. Very loud threatening automated message telling you you will be arrested soon if you don't press 1 to call them. Mobile number locator shows as being near industrial site off Mitton Road, Whalley near Blackburn. The intent is to scare vulnerable/older people into making contact, so as to gain access to their PC via remote access. HMRC are aware of this type of scam but I informed them anyway.

TAXES / HMRC Call received letting me know that my National Insurance number had been compromised. Claiming to be from National Crime Agency. I have had a number of these calls from 07932 430057, then 07932 430068. I'm sure if you press 1 to be connected to someone you will be paying a fortune for the call. Just block it. If HMRC or the NCA want to get hold of you they won't be doing it with a random mobile number!!
