Got a call from this number earlier. 01229 473762. The "01229" IS our national UK code and the "47" is particular to our local area but we think it was a scam attempt. Foreign accent named "John" saying he was from BT which we don't use! Can these shysters actually manage to appear to be local when probably ringing (on a phishing trip) from abroad?

Stating I don t have a policy with Insure, he replied that they were a marketing firm acting on behalf of life insurance providers. Glen Dimplex Cookers etc Customer Care Help Centre Its expensive so I wrote a letter to the Chief Operating Officer, Michael Maher, at the Glen Dimplex Head office in Dublin, complaining about the cost. Waiting for a response ! I may be barking at the wrong tree though as its my mobile phone company, Vodaphone, that is charging 45p/minute as an access charge, whilst Glen Dimplex is charging max 10p per minute. So it appears that Vodaphone is the greedy party.
