Person on the phone told him he was calling from HMRC, quoted some references that sounded legit, including the details of an arrest warrant because of unpaid taxes... But then when he tried to ask questions, person on the phone became really aggressive... Which only wound my partner up and made him ask more questions. Fraud. First time they called they say that a year’s subscription for Amazon Prime has been taken and to get it back you have to follow their instructions which gives them access to your account. Second time they said they are from Amazon and that someone has tried to buy something on your account. Very insistent and pushy. Asian accent.
This is a scam which is going under the name of Amazon Banking so be warned Amazon dont do phone calls.

SCAM just had a call today pretending to be sky they are not sky because I just rang sky and they have not rang up today to ask about internet speeds or refunds because of the sky broadband being slow, if you have anyone calling you asking to download certain things and that can veiw your phone then my advice is don’t do it unless you know what your doing is safe and genuine they will ask you to check your bank and tell you your not aloud to close down the veiwer client I suspect that’s like phishing
