I don't know think its safe I got a virus in my phone for a while and aI thought my Fb might be hacked ! I just went into my settings no where my WhatsApp was ,my own number was there . But where my FB was this number was there .and I have put soft ware in . I thought I deleted FB and re installed and no we I installed the installed the latest soft ware Amazon is not recognizing me .I have to re log in everywhere . It's a right pain. This number rang on 09/03/23. When I answered, the call just ended. This number rang again on 10/03/23. The caller had a South Asian accent, knew my name and enquired about the car accident I'd had. I responded that this would be the car accident I hadn't had and told him to stop wasting my time. There was a fairly insincere 'apology' that he'd been given the incorrect details.
I called the number back and knew I was connected as the clock on my phone was showing how long my connection was. As no human or recorded voice answered I hung up. This was at 9:54 pm.
Said they were calling from O2 but I very much doubt it. Very poor English.

Claimed to be from credit card fraud department. Automated message saying a charge of over one hundred pounds has been made on my card from Amazon, also a foreign transaction of over one thousand pounds. Asked me to press buttons to authorise or talk to an advisor. Total scam.

SCAM Evil little man pretending to be a bailiff enforcing a writ, he will call you and pressurise you, he will say that you owe £x amount for a debt that you have been informed about multiple times and that you haven’t turned up to court for. He will say that his name is Kevin Wynn who is actually a bailiff and a good guy but this little man is impersonating him, PUT THE PHONE DOWN!

They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls.
Text from this number telling me this was the second and final attempt to contact me. that I had won the April draw and please click the link. No idea what the April Draw is, and will not be clicking the link! It could potentially be dangerous.

Initially a silent call and after several seconds had an automated rather creepy voice that said "goodbye"
Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
