SCAM called offering for my business to be featured in a publication which will highlighting legitimate local businesses and rogue traders (hopefully I fall into the former). Asked if I'd like to be featured as their "(my profession) of the year" for a fee, when I questioned it they hung up. Initially claimed to be from a crime monitoring unit, which was odd since they called from a mobile number.

Yes, it s a shame there isn t a way to contact you directly. The story about the daughter n wife dying is one I have been told by others. Plus the immediate desire he had regarding spending his life with me was completely unreal! His pictures also infected my computer with viruses!! This is a scam caller. They will know your name but don't verify anything nor give them any information. They are based in India.
Claims to be from my internet providor so I said I used only phone or library for Internet use and he hung up. Then called back from an unavoidable number saying ...I m from BT and....blah blah....I said no internet here and he hung up...
They ve called me several times over the last few days - 4 times today alone! Told them in each occasion we are registered with the TPS, only to be called again. Introduced themselves as "Saving Preference" - complaint filed with TPS this evening
