"Bank Security" telling me they needed authorisation for two amounts on my credit card. One for £300 from Amazon. (It is amazing how often I seem to "pay" Amazon £300) and one for an overseas number. Another variation on an old scam. Blocked

When i questioned him about it he could only give my name nothing else. I then saod citizens advice now call random calls he then said he works for citizens governments advice. SCAM James (with a non English accent) called to tell me that my (non existent with Domestic appliance that he purported to be from) home contents insurance had expired. I hung up, didn't have time to call him out on his fraudulent activities today.
This was a 'security company', sounded well stoned, insisting I had lost money on Crypto and he was going to give me my money back. I have lost no money on Crypto. Scm obviously

Don't know who called me from this number. I jumped out of bed when the phone rang but I didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. It was 7:36 am ffs! Even the sun was still in bed where I live in Greater Manchester and I do't even know where Thanet is, never mind why someone from there would be phoning me at an ungodly hour. I highly suspect this was a scam call.

Indian accent with British name stating he is calling from O2, then said he noticed I'm not O2 and asked how much I pay and said that he could give me a £6 per month deal. Then I said I'm on Pay as you go and only top-up £5 per year he called me a fool, said I was making him a fool and asked if I'm on my father or mother's company. I'm not even in the UK and my parents are retired... :D CLEAR SCAM but not so smart
