I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent. wanted my son, who has not lived here for 10 years, tried to get his details from me, stating input error. If my son wanted them to contact him he certainly would not have given a number he hasn t used for 10 years. They said they had a mobile no and wanted to check if it was still in use but due to data protection, couldnt give me what they had, but could check off the number I have for him. This number has been constantly disturbing me during working hours with aggressive highly irritating calls of up to 10 times a day.

My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. Has called twice, first time no answer, second time answered to a woman with a Birmingham accent. Despite being on the TPS they still called. Using a mobile number they obviously use people working from home to cold call. Have now blocked.
