I was curious of this number previously but have now related it to my house alarm which is set up to text me when there is a fault/activation of my house alarm. Every month an automated check is done on the phone line (hence the 61p charge on my bill) to check the system is still working ok and able to then text when required. A small price to pay I guess for piece of mind when having an alarm system, but unfortunately something my alarm fitter forgot to mention when installing it!

Indian guy calling clearly routed through a Manchester number although illegal with tps. Usual bull about my accident not being my fault now and I can get cash back. No accident just a scam or at best a fraud claims company. When asked details he was unable to provide any because of security yet wanted all my details lol. I think this may be a suspicious / bogus call. When I picked up I heard some technical sounds and the call was then terminated. They never rang back.

Totally agree with NMS. I've got a BT8500 truecall cordless phone (£40 on Amazon for a twin) it NEVER rings unless it's from callers which I have allowed through. Never really been a fan of BT stuff but these phones are great.
