SCAM Dodgy credit check scam
This number has appeared on our answerphone but they did not leave any message. After this lookup I have blocked the number as it looks like another case of blocks of telephone numbers being sold offto con men. This number traced back to be from Ghaziabad Uttar Pradesh in India. Said he was from Domestic and General asked for my name, and then said he could not hear me could I give it again which I did. I had cancelled a insurance with D & G and thought they were ring to make me change my name. He then asked for the first name of my address and post code, and again said he couldn t hear me and asked me to repeat it again. This is when I got suspicious and hung up. I rang D & G and they apparently do not keep a record of outgoing cals.
Rings once then hangs up.
Definitely spam, or just a random automated dialler! Woke me up on Saturday at 3AM, called back thinking it was someone with my number in trouble and got a silent dead line! Not sure if they got a wrong number but very annoying! Got a call fairly shortly after from a mobile with the same scenario..

SCAM recorded voice claims the call is from BT Internet to say that there has been suspicious activity on my account. Invites me to press 1 to talk "To an Executive to resolve the issue". I waited until the caller hung up. Cannot find area code 0119. This is clearly a scam to lead me into a conversation with a fraudster. How are these people obtaining "UK numbers" from BT? Cold call from First Assist Solution - injury firm claiming to have your number from National Accident Database. Complete scam - send them an e-mail through their website http://www.firstassistsolutions.com/contact/ (use a bogus e-mail address and phone number and see how they like the runaround!!!) Alternatively just report them to the ICO for breach of Communications regulations

Indian call center claiming to be O2 and offering me a 30% discount but also asking me to verify that I'm the owner of the phone by text even though they called me. They also wanted me to tell them how much I was paying per month so that they could discount it, if they are from O2 then why would they not know how much I'm paying already? It's a scam, clearly. No matter how much he tried to persuade me otherwise.
