Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. Similar number 1293372216 is already reported here with accident claims - probably this one is the same case, same call centre? I don't answer unknown numbers and they left no message. It's Purple Bricks, probably a trustworthy call, but they (their machine) need to ring for more than 5 secs to allow for answering. I recently registered/attended a house-viewing through them, it's likely related.

Fraud American accent, pre-recorded message saying it was HMRC and there was a problem with my tax record. Told me that in order to avoid jail I needed to sort this out immediately and had to press 1 to be put through to an advisor. Potentially very threatening for anyone who didn’t recognise it as a scam. Google search reveals that if I had pressed 1 my call might have been rerouted to a different country and I could have faced hefty phone charges.

Have been constantly harassed by this number over the last few weeks, I used to be a Sky customer until asking for a homemove which THEY were unable to complete but I was stilled charged for, I am now in the process of putting in a complaint to Ofcom with regard to this and the debt collectors they employed and intend to follow this up with a small claims court action to recover fee s I should not have been charged.
