They have now resorted to calling on a regular basis and now hanging the phone up. Have made an official complaint to TPS and will do so now for every call. When I asked for proof, he gave me a name and user ID number - D Day, UID 8006 - and asked me to call the BT helpline on 0203287 2062 to confirm his authenticity. I called but then gave a totally different name and ID number for the engineer. What a surprise - the made up details were accepted as valid!! This is a total scam - don't be fooled by it.
