Received a cold call saying something about windows before I put down

Didn t answer the call and came here to check the number. Lots of these apparently foreign numbers are actually originating in the UK by using software diallers that mask the caller s true location.As other posters suggest, a good rule of thumb is - if the number looks suspicious it probably is.

Debt collector. Had been receiving calls daily. Finally answered and they asked for my address and dob! Hung up and did research on the company. Called them back as I didn t think I had any debts. Gave them my details, but they had my old address. Confirmed that. Like the other contributors, this number called me, it rang on my mobile once and then they hung up - I won t be calling them back! Don t fall for their untrustworthy marketing ploy, just ignore them.

Complete pests. They call every other day, sometimes every day. National database ... boiler grants ... blah, blah. I m making a complaint to Data Protection and Ofcom now.

Has rung me around 10 times in the last day, a couple of times I have answered and I the caller has hung up. I thing they are so used to people not answering, they are shocked when someone answers and he just hung up.
