This is not how any Government office enforces their legislation. Just ignore and block it. If it was legit you'd get a letter first and a face to face visit if you fail to respond.

No name and when I called the company they said they had no record of the account no they had left in the message and no record of my phone no. This is a scamming company posing as Barclays. I received a text from them saying a transfer of £4000 was attempted from my account and that I need to call them asap if I didn't authorise the transfer. You will know this is a scam as they won't address you by the name on your account

I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.
