Recorded message saying 'number not recognised' when I rang it back.
SCAM - rang first from a London landline. Stating this is Scorpions and I have applied for a loan for £2000 with £99 monthly repayment over 24 months. Explained I haven’t. Began insulting me after he said I should stop wasting people’s time if I don’t need the loan. Politely asked to watch his tone. Started screaming “Shut Up! Shut Up!”. Hung up. Called from the mobile number just to say “Fuck You”.

Broad Indian accent, difficult to understand but the general gist I got was he wanted my details so he can save me 30-40% off my bill. Had to press for details on what bill he was saving me money on, he stammered and, almost like he was guessing, said my O2 mobile phone bill. Nobody in this house has any O2 devices so be safe - don't give these scumbags any details. Block the number, maybe work out some of your anger by screaming abuse at them as I did.

Unconvincing credit card phishing scam. Automated female voice saying credit card has been used for two large amounts. Amazon and an international transfer. Press 1 or 2 to speak to customer services. Seemed deliberately unclear what company they were supposed to be.
This was a call from Retail Trade Domestic Ltd, a legitimate caller regarding business matters. They are appliance suppliers in Basildon.

Came up on my phone as potential fraud, I did not answer it, no message left.
Unknown number, called and didn’t leave a message. Judging by the fact that a handful of other people looked it up in the last hour it’s some sort of automated spam call.
Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

There was a suspicious pause & silence (auto-dialler?) when I answered and then the call was disconnected. Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
