This is a Philippines fraud so far my knowledge guess. They track Indian girls saying he is cargo ship captain and going to marry her out of love. Bought few Jewellery and posted. I recently bought space talk watch for my daughter and she has been messaging me from it over the last five day. Someone has managed to figure this out and has pretended to be her messaging from a friends phone and asking me to text her on what's app via a different number.

Fraud A scam - and a very convincing one too !! Purport to be transaction investigators for TSB, and for an hour went over and over questioning, checking transactions, cancelling card, and then working very hard to persuade that account needed closing and reopening with a safe sort code and account number, asking about standing orders and Direct debits!!! Thankfully we realised in time and put a stop to it. They had enough information by then to make it dodgy!!!!

SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.
