I was just called by somebody saying they were from UK Financial. The said they had a cheque for me for money i was owed from bank charges. They knew my address then asked me to confirm my date of birth. I told them i was not giving it to them as i had never heard of them. When i said this they hung up!

Annoying robot asking to call back. This is a debt collection company and I have no debts. If a real person rang up instead then they d know instantly they got the wrong number. Complete waste of time and very annoying.

Their database was wonky as he assumed I had a Hotpoint which was a blatant guess. I scam baited this guy for 10-mins just for my amusement then he hung up when i didn't reveal any personal details.

National Insurance scam - automated telephone call
SCAM Call received today 15th Feb 2021. Computerised call. Pretended to be from HMRC and that my name was recorded as a tax fraud and a warrant would be issued against me if I didn't press 1 now. I am an accountant in practice who has dealt with the HMRC for 30 years. This a SCAM. The HMRC will never call you like this on such matters. If you do owe money to HMRC only pay them through the secure channels listed on the government website and ensure it is your reference you are making the payment against.

Just had a call from this number - on a new mobile phone. So they are clearly spammers.
My wife went through this and they are evil. they clearly have some access to HMRC they threaten you with jail and then ring off and ring back as a Police Man saying they are sending a van round to your house. they claim to know where you live by geolocating you report to Action Fraud - its your duty.

This call is from NTT Fundraising based in Bristol BS1 2NB. You should report them to the TPS (I have), especially if your number is registered with the TPS. The more people do it, the more likely the TPS will actually pay attention. I caused EMCAS (ambulance chasers) based in Torquay some grief by submitting a complaint to the TPS
