The idea is to extort money from you and they will protect you online. I can see how some may be frightened and fall for this scam. So Be Warned And Don’t Respond.

When I said I do not have any knowledge of what you talking person on a phone said this is a fraud. So to stop this started asking me bank details which I refused to share and hung up. SCAM Internet banking scam - wants log on details to stop a payment for £600
Weird call - phone "answered itself" when no-one was near it. I heard voices and went to investigate - found my phone playing a recorded message. A bit unsettling really. Anyone else had this experience?
