After the worst experience of my life dealing or rather " attempting " To deal with Scottish Power it is a whole new experience dealing with British gas lite ,the simplicity surrounding B/gas is very nearly faultless , enter readings , receive bill online in minutes , pay by direct debit , wonderful the only fly in the ointment on a couple of times my meter readings were not as b/gas expected.
This was a scam number claiming to be from a restaurant I visited recently, they asked for card details before phoning back on a private number claiming to be from Santander.
Got called, my name and email were known to the caller.. claimed the FTX bankruptcy affected me and suggested i could regain my funds in crypto.. wanted to know if i had a wallet. I'm pretty sure i do not have any money outstanding, or lost any due to any bankruptcy. Voiced my skepticism, got called by a "manager" after, same story.. even less trust due to impatience and the voice calls without anything in email or regular mail. Looks like a scam to me, to try and gain access to ppl's crypto

A guy with a strong eastern accent, called Jason, phoned me claiming to be from BT, claiming that my Internet address had become visible to everyone and that people would try to scam me. He wanted me to open Google but I said I couldn't. It felt like a scam of some sort.

Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.

Fraud. Caller was automated message saying it was from Visa and that several payments to China had been blocked. I was to then press '1' to be put through to the Visa fraud team. I don't have any Visa cards.
Called office wanting to talk to our IT-manager. Was vague and did not introduce herself. After asking, she informed me she was calling from Dell, but gave no further comment. Since we are an Apple-only business and she was vague, my spider senses tells me to block this caller.

Out of curiosity I navigated to the EVRI website and entered a combination of the above and the full set. EVRI did not recognize it any of it. This company uses Voxbone SA (now called bandwidth) services to route calls from scammers. this is just one of many telephone numbers i have had call me trying to scam me and i receive up to six per day for the past few weeks. At the beginning I politely told them that i was not interested requesting them to take my number off their call list and now its straight FO. Sorry for generalising it but it usually an Asian woman or man.
