I keep getting this number call me and when I pick up they don't say anything or hang up if I call back if they hang up on me also it's very irritating

Debt collector. Had been receiving calls daily. Finally answered and they asked for my address and dob! Hung up and did research on the company. Called them back as I didn t think I had any debts. Gave them my details, but they had my old address. Confirmed that. I had a guarded conversation with the caller who, as mentioned above, was calling on behalf of the RSPCA. Apparently he wanted to confirm details for Gift Aid purposes, which raised suspicion in my mind as there are always boxes to tick when completing donation forms for any charity. He did have my name and postcode already and was very polite, but clearly working from a script. I have not ever donated by text.
