SPAM and FRAUD - Shane called me today about my telephone line reducing my line rental - he said he could see I also had broadband (I don't). He was not from a telephone company - he should be ashamed of himself how does he (and the rest of the Indian callers) sleep at night. Fraud Comes up looking like a regular mobile number but it is a automated call informing of your national insurance card been identified and used for fraud. Didn't bother listening to the rest of the call as hung up but googled it and it seems its a relatively new scam not fully logged yet.

SCAM first said my computer has been hacked. When I said I didn’t have a computer they said it was my mobile that was hacked and they we’re going to disconnect my phone so I told them to do it. Surprise nothing happened.
A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. Rang to ask for information relating to a policy i dont have. I hung up, they rang back where my 5 year old answered and yelled abuse down phone claiming to be cancelling my policy and hung up. Steve is correct, it is Bauer Media. If you ve entered your number online somewhere for a free magazine (I d asked for Marie Claire / Instyle) then they re calling for your address. Theyll also offer you 3 issues for £1.00. Spoke to a lovely lady and she asked if I wanted future calls for offers and so I said no. It s all legit. However, they need to work on their employees... I had another call minutes later from a guy there who was on the phone to someone else!!
