AO Insurance scam. It seems AO haven t heard of GDPR. Almost feel like cancelling my order for such underhanded pretence after care call when in fact its all about selling the consumer a nonsensical insurances. Clearly under Data Protection Act and GDPR, AO is breaking privacy regulations.

These people are scammers who target elderly vulnerable people. They cold called my mother who has dementia, despite her being registered with the TPS. They talked her into completely unnecessary cover for a washing machine for £225 pounds. This seems to be their MO as I have now seen it on numerous forums about them. This is now in the hands of her banks fraud team.

Either phone rings and there is an engaged tone when I answer, or I answer it and it seems to be from a foreign call centre threatening debt collection, court and bailiffs when no one in my home even uses 3! Came up as a local number (01947) but it was from a call centre. All numbers round here start with a 6 or an 8. and there are no call centres in this rural area.

SCAM: the number that called was too long to be identified as a phone number - it had 006 44 in front of it, which is probably deliberate to make it impossible to search. I could hear a call centre. Indian sounding guy asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number & he hung up.

Just got call from this person spoke with english accent asked about car I was selling on gumtree only posted seconds before phone call then asked about accidents and I hung up had two calls this week off same number one before got straight to the point asking about an accident i had. I ve never had one in my life I challenged him and he hung up. My guess there getting numbers off gumtree ads for cars. Number now blocked.
