The girl said she was called Sophie Joyce (surname given after I questioned her for it) and the company she was working for was Outspire Insource on behalf of EE. Started trying to sell me some new deals. I revealed that I had Googled the number and had read that a number of people had posted to say it was a scam. In that situation, if it was a proper company acting as they claim then I d expect the other person to deny it was

I ve just had a call from this number. They said that as I had been involved in a road accident my case had been referred to them. This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines.
