I m getting really sick of these calls now. I am registered with TPS but am called both on my mobile and home number. I actually pressed 5 to speak with someone and she just put the phone down on me. I suspect a scam. Added to my phone book memory facility list on phone. Input these nuisance numbers in so they show up on my screen as caller id: ignore1, ignore2, ignore3 etc After a couple of months can delete off phone book memory, by then they have given up if you don t answer.

One of those calls when, once the telephone is answered, there is a pause and a female voice says "Goodbye". Presumably to check that the line is in use.

I very rarely pick up the phone from numbers blocked or I don t recognise. This number has shown up several times on my phone, perhaps 8 in the last 3 weeks. They never leave a msg so I assume it s never important, but I wish they d stop.

Fraud claiming to be the police
I answered the call but they hang up. I've received two calls from mobile numbers that have the same first 5 numbers. These scammers seem to use a number very similar to yours. I guess to make you think it looks like a genuine caller. Best is not to answer. If there is no voice message left then it is likely to be a scam.

When called back they state they are HMRC and ask for my phone number I said if you were HMRC you would not be asking me that, they said sorry made a mistake and hung up. big warning signs this is a SCAM!
