I called this Scam number from a letter send by a company call Rothesay and Experian. A man answered and put me through to a woman who started asking me a lot if personal questions. I discovered she was located in South Africa. I then realized it was a SCAM.

SCAM Fraud BEWARE ! This number has only recently appeared on this site (August 2023) from other people checking. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions. Hung up on me and didn't call me back when I told him I keep very little in the account, whilst I was silently checking the account in the background. This number texted me over Whatsapp, apparently by accident. Shared some pics of an asian girl, stated she is from Singapore, living in Poland. Asked for pictures of myself, and was overly friendly. Refused to talk over video. So, yeah, many red flags.

SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.
