I just got cold-called from 01315169957 offering financial help with installing new windows. The whole thing sounded totally bogus.

you had a car accident blah blah blah. came up as a local number (chesterfield)but was down south when i asked.when i said any accidents i had had had been delt with and all claims made she put phone down on me. nice.

I have received calls at my home land line number as well as my mobile . However I do not answer these types of call numbers . My real complaint is that I have a new number as my old number is now my business line , they do not ring that though just my new one and no one has been given that apart from family and close friends !!So how did they get it ?

Also had calls from 0161 201 0040 ( Jubilee & Wilson Accounts Dept ). Typical pattern: "We called you x-months ago & you agreed to place advertising with us in a crime prevention booklet" & when I denied the call their first line was, "But we have recorded evidence" (great business approach to customer relationships & satisfaction!). I have requested a copy of the recording several times & they agreed to send it, but it never arrived. They have sent invoice; payment reminders; continuous phone calls

This guy hacked my friends Facebook and sent me a message saying "hey can I ask you a massive favour? I m having trouble with my PayPal, can I send you my months wages, and meet you for it later?". Answered this number. Had to say hello three times before someone who named herself as Lisa said she had a record of me being in a car accident. I said no you have incorrect info. She went quiet for a few seconds then proceeded to say how did the accident happen and I said no you do not have the right information and in the middle of me saying please take my number off your system she just hung up. Tried calling back to complain but surprise surprise the number is not recognised.
