This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Scottish power, but it seems they are working for multiple energy providers. Don't be surprised if you are not able to call them back, the call centre gateway is set for outbound call only from their side.

Apparently I've won a prize (according to a recording) - number now blocked
Had same text from January 2018 an even sent text STOP in February. Just received another text today which said Freetext but I called my provider VIRGIN who told my there was a charge just for receiving the premium text. I have emailed the address in the text and as per Virgin instructions have texted STOPALL to 70207. When the new data protection laws come in to effect in May I have the right to sue these people!

Has anyone reported this number to BT or Virgin? They have a duty to investigate and disconnect landlines if they are causing harassment, alarm or distress. In some cases even prosecute. I have reported a few scammers and they and no longer exist. It wont' eradicate them completely as they will spring up again with another number but the more you inconvenience them and close the net the more likely they will give up. Remember, there are more law abiding people than there are scammers.

How are scam companies like these able to get our phone detals when, as mentioned above, we ve only taken out a contract from Phones 4 U about 2 weeks ago?? I have not yet answered one of these calls as i tend not to answer unknown or unfamiliar numbers but next time they call, i think i ll either repeat their questions back to them until they get p*****d off and hang up or pretend to be a take away food outlet and demand their order from them!! This number IS actually O2. I got a text from them yesterday saying they would contact me about loyalty offers and the call from this number was about their offers. After being stung once yrs ago with an "aol" scam I'm very careful but this thankfully was good. NOT A SCAM.
