I think it is a scam
I randomly got texted by this number saying "Hi, there." at 11:18, which was weird at first but then I texted "who is this?" and I haven't got a response yet. This website says it's an EE number but I don't get why they would say "Hi, there." with no reason of texting me, if anyone has any idea of who they might be, please tell me.

Utilities Said they were from Virgin media, Indian Accent, knew my name. Said they wanted to make sure is was getting the best service then asked for first line of address and post code, which i didn't give. My view is that if I felt I wasn't getting a good service then I would contact them. All in all an unwanted call.

SCAM Further to my earlier review I managed to get the operator to give up on me by pretending to be deaf and unable to understand his heavy India accent (not entirely untrue on either count). Kept asking him to repeat all the questions and spell out everything: first his name, then the name of the company etc in a voice that makes me sound older than I am. After 2or 3 minutes he gave up.

This call came into me whilst I was in the shower. The female operator started talking immediately, I had to really raise my voice to interrupt her call whereby I explained that I could not he at her as I did not have my hearing aids in, but was in the process of trying to put them in. My expectation was that she would hold on whilst I did that. Instead with no hearable comment the phone went dead. I felt she was extremely rude, I’m disabled, had got out of the shower to answer her call & Im deaf.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. I lost a total of $135,000 to them and they denied all my withdrawal request, and gave me all sort of excuses requesting i pay more funds in order to have funds withdrawn.
