Said they were telephone preference service that were signed up to. Knew name and address. Said bills were paid by direct debit, card ending in 17. I said my husband sorts it so I ve no idea. SCAM / SPAM - called purporting to be from BT Openreach about slow internet. I do currently have a case pending about slow net, so believed them at first. Got suspicious when they said they needed me to share my screen with them. When I asked them for a phone number to call them back on to check who they were they hung up. BEWARE.

SCAM Man called Alex with a British accent getting right to the point, asking me my age, do I use walking aids and telling me I'm eligible for a medical pendant! I think there was a hard sell coming but I didn't wait that long... Don't answer this number, this company wants to part you with your money.

I have had calls from this number, after a long conversation regarding data protection, I confirmed my address to discover it was for my previous address. The debt was from several years back that I thought was paid. This is not a scam, but people who are doing a job to get debt paid. You wouldn t walk into a shop and fill a trolley with goods and leave only paying for some of it. With debt we have either received the goods or service. Mine was for photos that I had forgot about
