Safe number new system for NHS appointments, link does look ‘dodgy’ so didn’t access it but also in msg is option to to send text saying PRINT, which will mean a paper copy of the appointment is sent. I did this and letter came a couple of days later. Poorly thought out scheme as msg does look like a scam and no advertising saying this is their new system!

I believe this to be another insurance ploy claiming I've had an accident (which I haven't) I now don't even bother answering anything that starts with 01495 816*...

3.15pm Monday 27th April, foreign male,gave his name as Chris Lewey, , gave the name of a company which I didn t quite catch,and that he wasn t trying to sell anything but wanted my opinion. He then asked if I had Sky TV at which point I said I wasn t interested in answering any questions. He thanked me politely and put the phone down. Initially when I answered the phone he asked for me by name.

My father had a call from this number. Stupid enough that they asked him for his bank details... well, he told them all. Noticing too late, that this might be scam. I had a guarded conversation with the caller who, as mentioned above, was calling on behalf of the RSPCA. Apparently he wanted to confirm details for Gift Aid purposes, which raised suspicion in my mind as there are always boxes to tick when completing donation forms for any charity. He did have my name and postcode already and was very polite, but clearly working from a script. I have not ever donated by text.
