They called me 3 times today saying they are from People's Opinion. They knew my name, address etc. They then told me that they weren't selling, but carrying out a survey on the electrical appliances I have in my home. They wanted me to confirm my details which I refused to do. I wasn't going to tell them where I live, all of my personal details and what I have in my home in case a couple of weeks later I'm burgled!

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618144xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims, financial services, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Unsolicited call, caller didn t respond when phone was answered. Presumably the authorities must know to where this phone number is registered and should remove it from the network. My guess it is a scam where they want you to ring back and surprise surprise you get stung with a premium rate call for your trouble.

An Asian lady, possibly Indian, and English not her first language, calling herself "Alesha, from Accident Helpline. I m calling about your recent car accident." I asked her to repeat her name, which she did. I then asked her for her surname, but she hurriedly hung up. Clearly a fraudulent company, wanting to prey on gullible people.
