I have just received a call, a person, with an Asian accent, telling me that they were calling on behalf of my internet provider! (I received a similar call last week too, but told them I was having dinner). Apparently, they have noticed that my internet is not working to it s full potential. Received a call on my mobile at around 11.30am, and was told I had a refund via PPI from a credit card or loan. Had to ask me which one and from which bank. I have been advised by HMRC ( number from gov.uk) that 020 7898 3703 is a fraudulent number.
Calling several times a day, almost every day
They call me to tell me I won a family holiday and they asked if I own my home and if I am between 30-60 years old, and then they asked if our annual income is over £30,000 and when I said no she said that I do not qualify.
I received a call from this number, they said that they were a Vauxhall parts company. slightly coincidental as I had a call from a car accident company this morning!
