SCAM - My elderly mother received a call on her landline from this number (01536 210272) today 4Aug approx 5.10pm. Polite male caller asked her to confirm her name and address which he told her and she did. He said he was from BT and told her as she'd been a loyal customer, having never reported a problem, she was being offered a 35% discount on her bill. Unknown caller from Manchester and they never left a message on my answerphone so it must be a scam. It will now be blocked liked a large number of calls recently from 0161 area.
This is a dangerous fraud scam to gain access to your bank details. The caller is a recorded message telling you that your tax return has indicated that you have been found to have entered fraudulent details and will be fined or face jail. Then asks you to dial the number one to speak to a tax officer where they try to obtain your personal bank details to scam you. BEWARE

SPAM. Nigel Frank recruitment these folk call your mobile usually during work meeting times (9-10) and think it's acceptable to keep your phone ringing for 30sec. Knowing you've probably muted the call with the intention of putting your phone to silent when they eventually abandon the call they'll immediately radial so you cant do this, to annoy you again, which is a bit controlling. Despite telling them you've started a new job, they continue to pester you every month.
